Joliet, Il to Chicago, Il - Sept 16 - Day 16 - End of Journey!!

We made it!!!  A few sights on the way in and then we are there!! We made it all the way from the Santa Monica Pier to Michigan Ave and Jackson Blvd in Chicago.  This was capped off with a terrific breakfast at the highly recommended Route 66 Lou Mitchell's Restaurant.  At the End sign we ran into a group of about 40 people from Sweden and Norway who had traveled the same route on motorcycles. They were a really neat group and as a side note they were deaf. We had great weather the whole trip and once we arrived in Chicago it started raining so even though we are a little wet in our last picture it didn't dampen our spirits!  Thanks so much for following our journey!!

Thanks for following along. Really was a fun trip. Treated ourselves to 2 luxury nights in Chicago before starting our return trip. Plan to head back a little north stopping to see Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone and then south towards San Diego thru Zion National Park. Of course stopping to fish along the way.

Hope all is well at home. I should be able to pick up any emails along the way, so send Tour Championship info.

    Talk to you soon.
