Day 5 was a fun day beginning with Winslow, Az which was the inspiration for the Eagles song "Take it Easy". We also visited the La Posado Hotel in Winslow which was a famous stop for many movie stars back in the day. Then we went on to Holbrook, Az. where much of the movie Cars was filmed at the Wigwam Motel. They even had cars representing Doc Hudson and Mater. After that we were able to stop at the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park on our way to Gallup, NM. We spent the night at the very nice USA RV Park in Gallup. In Gallup we enjoyed riding down the street where many old neon signs are still displayed and then went to the El Rancho Hotel where many western movie stars filmed and stayed.
